Long time no post...

Gah, I can't believe I've let my posts go for over a year. Yikes. Not sure if anyone out there is still reading these as I am not writing as much as I used to.
But I did write some fics outside of my Courtship Series which you can find here: www.dqmwartist.com/sarahsfanfic.htm There are three there that deal with Brian and Sarah. I found them to be a sweet couple, even though any sort of relationship between the two wasn't developed.

Right now I am working on one dealing with Sully and Michaela. This isn't one of my happier fics either as it deals with a What if...What if Sully left CS before Michaela returned from Boston? Interesting question that I have been exploring.

Courtship Completed

For all of you readers of Michaela & Sully's Courtship Series, it is finally complete. Within the past month Courtin' & Sparkin', along with Footprints were both finished. It was a joy to write the series and a part of me misses it already.

Part Of Your World

I give you all now a new addition to the Courtship Series:

Part of Your World: (Prequel to Hearts A Fire) Michaela's journey to Boston brings about her buried feelings for Sully, only to be threatened by William's flattery. Sully's dreams of the future come full circle in his feelings for Michaela as he realizes he truly does love her and makes way for Boston.

Happy reading.

One finished, Another begun...

Yours & Mine is now completed, has been for some time now. It's a sweet gem of a story which I hope all of you are enjoying.

Once I finished it there was an opening out there for a sequel and well I attempted to do that but it didn't quite work. In my writing I ended up with a prequel to Hearts A Fire. The new work is going along quite nicely and I'd love to crank that out this week if I could. But sometimes the direction of the story you want to take and the characters differ.
Part of Your World (as it is called) plays alot with the dreams Sully tells Cloud Dancing he is having before he goes to visit Michaela in Boston. We also get some from Michaela and her adjustment to Boston society. So far so good. :-)

Yours & Mine

In lue of finding the inspiration for the continuation of "Courtin' & Sparkin'", I've begun a new story for the time being. A fan suggested to me some time ago and I asked on the DQ forum as well, if I should do a sequel to "Facing Fears." It's sequel "Yours & Mine" has been started and I feel I am well into it.

"Yours & Mine" picks up right where "Facing Fears" left off. We get the aftermath of Colleen's date with Jeremy and all her new emotions from that. As she explores and deals with those new feelings, Michaela is finding that some of the advice she's given Colleen can be applied to her own life. She was reluctant to let Colleen date and is even more so terrified of the prospect herself, yet she knows that running from her problems isn't going to solve anything.
I plan to publish this short once it's compleated. Hope all of you will enjoy and don't worry "Courtin' & Sparkin'" will be finished.

Cindy's Story

With the second part of Courtin' & Sparkin' I've introduced a new character. Below you can read a bit of her story:

Cindy was only fourteen when she was left alone to fend for herself. She was the youngest one in the family and no one really cared for a small meek girl with brown eyes and mousey hair to match.
Her will and determination kept her going as she carried a small bag and a diary across the vast prairies in search of something better. She lived through some nasty storms and nearly lost her life to wild animals on more than one occasion.
Cindy in all her wandering away from the past had somehow found her way into Denver and the home of Madame; Madame who smoked with an air as if she was high society and dressed in silks as if she was high society. Her face was painted with makeup that made her look like a doll with too much paint on her face.
Her first impressions of Madame had quickly become smothered in silk as the moment Cindy knocked on her door she was whisked away inside with Madame’s arms still around her.
Cindy wouldn’t soon forget all that she first saw and heard, other girls with paint on their faces who also dressed in silks, some with men and their arms and the noises she heard at night. Over time she began to feel herself swept into that world of Madame’s feeling as if that was the way she could become someone.
